Poincare inequality

We develop Green's function estimate for manifolds satisfying a weighted Poincare inequality together with a compatible lower bound on the Ricci curvature. The estimate is then applied to establish existence and sharp estimates of the solution to the Poisson equation on such manifolds. As an application, a Liouville property for finite energy holomorphic functions is proven on a class of ....

Our first goal is to obtain such inequalities with weights of the form wF φ (x) = φ(dF (x)), where φ is a positive increasing function satisfying a certain growth con-dition and F is a compact set in ∂Ω. The parameter F in the notation will be omitted whenever F = ∂Ω.Oct 19, 2022 · Cheeger, Hajlasz, and Koskela showed the importance of local Poincaré inequalities in geometry and analysis on metric spaces with doubling measures in [9, 15].In this paper, we establish a family of global Poincaré inequalities on geodesic spaces equipped with Borel measures, which satisfy a local Poincaré inequality along with certain other geometric conditions.

In this paper, we study the sharp Poincaré inequality and the Sobolev inequalities in the higher-order Lorentz-Sobolev spaces in the hyperbolic spaces. These results generalize the ones obtained in Nguyen VH (J Math Anal Appl, 490(1):124197, 2020) to the higher-order derivatives and seem to be new in the context of the Lorentz-Sobolev spaces defined in the hyperbolic spaces.Poincar e inequalities and geometric bounds themodern era : Lichnerowicz’s bound (1958) (M;g)compact Riemannian manifold normalized Riemannian volume elementAs usual, we denote by G a bounded domain in the N-dimensional Euclidean space with a Lipschitz boundary Γ (see Chaps. 2 and 28). (For N = 1, the interval (a, b) is considered.)All the considerations of this chapter will be carried out in the real Hilbert space L 2 (G) in which — as we know — the inner product, the norm, and the metric are given by the relationsSolving the Yamabe Problem by an Iterative Method on a Small Riemannian Domain. Thus g admits a conformal change to a constant scalar….

On the weighted fractional Poincare-type inequalities. R. Hurri-Syrjanen, Fernando L'opez-Garc'ia. Mathematics. 2017; Weighted fractional Poincar\'e-type inequalities are proved on John domains whenever the weights defined on the domain are depending on the distance to the boundary and to an arbitrary compact set in …In the present paper, we deal withthe weighted Poincark inequalitiesin weighted Sobolev spaces W"lP (fl;x0, xfl) and W"tP (Q; w, w), where R is one-dimensional unbounded domain, and give sufficient conditions for the weighted Poincare inequalities to hold. 2.In this paper we will establish different weighted Poincaré inequalities with variable exponents on Carnot-Carathéodory spaces or Carnot groups. We will use different techniques to obtain these inequalities. For vector fields satisfying Hörmander's condition in variable non-isotropic Sobolev spaces, we consider a weight in the variable Muckenhoupt class $% A_{p(\\cdot ),p^{\\ast }(\\cdot ...The Poincare inequality means, roughly speaking, that the ZAnorm of a function can be controlled by the ZAnorm of its derivative (up to a universal constant). It is well-known …The weighted Poincaré inequality would be ∫Ω | f − fΩ, w | 2w ≤ C ′ ∫Ω | ∇f | 2w where fΩ, w = ∫Ωfw is the weighted mean of f. Again, this is what you have but written in a more natural way. The industry of weighted Poincaré inequalities is huge, but the most fundamental result is that the Muckenhoupt condition w ∈ A2 is ...

In functional analysis, Sobolev inequalities and Morrey’s inequalities are a collection of useful estimates which quantify the tradeoff between integrability and smoothness. The ability to compare such properties is particularly useful when studying regularity of PDEs, or when attempting to show boundedness in a particular space in order to ...We establish the Sobolev inequality and the uniform Neumann-Poincaré inequality on each minimal graph over B_1 (p) by combining Cheeger-Colding theory and the current theory from geometric measure theory, where the constants in the inequalities only depends on n, \kappa, the lower bound of the volume of B_1 (p).Poincar e inequalities and geometric bounds themodern era : Lichnerowicz’s bound (1958) (M;g)compact Riemannian manifold normalized Riemannian volume element ….

This work studies mixtures of probability measures on $\\mathbb{R}^n$ and gives bounds on the Poincaré and the log-Sobolev constant of two-component mixtures provided that each component satisfies the functional inequality, and both components are close in the $χ^2$-distance. The estimation of those constants for a mixture can be far more subtle than it is for its parts. Even mixing Gaussian ...The uniform Poincare inequality for all balls is obtained using that of the Z-remote balls. • The subset Z can separate the space into two or more connected components. • The result can be applied to prove the Poincare inequality on weighted Dirichlet spaces — a simple example is also given.

Poincaré inequalities for Markov chains: a meeting with Cheeger, Lyapunov and Metropolis Christophe Andrieu, Anthony Lee, Sam Power, Andi Q. Wang School of Mathematics, University of Bristol August 11, 2022 Abstract We develop a theory of weak Poincaré inequalities to characterize con-vergence rates of ergodic Markov chains.Regarding the Poincare inequality, I suppose it's a question of terminology. What do you take as your definition of Poincare's inequality? For what it's worth, I'm looking at the book and Evans writes "This estimate is sometimes called Poincare's inequality." (Page 282 in the second edition.)
