Both the prodigy's were $1400 OTD at a lgs. so $1,000 savings vs the Staccato for me (for 1 Prodigy vs 1 Staccato). Of course now I want the P, cause buy all the guns. Even if I add an EGW ignition kit to the 5", I'd still be $850 cheaper than the P. For some that is pocket change, for others, not so much.Plus, you know, it's a Wilson. $2700 isn't that much more than a Stacatto, especially when you consider Stacatto mags cost basically 2X as much ($40-45 vs $80-100)... so if you're going to end up getting 6-10 mags the original price difference ends up narrowing further. The slide to frame fit in a prodigy felt better than the staccato P once disconnector was polished, which btw slide to frame fit felt different every time I handled a different P at different LGS’s. Anything under 4k for a 2011 is a bargain nowadays.Only thing I didn’t like about Houtlaw review is he used the Staccato mag in majority of the review. Most people won’t buy the prodigy if they own Staccatos. Stock mags seem to be one of the problems with the prodigy. I held and racked a prodigy in my local FFL and I thought it was smooth felt good in the hand.
