For Holley carburetors, the two most common model numbers used in both auto and truck applications come the 4150 and 4160. Step 3: Now cross-check the model number with a Holley carburetor listing. Once you have found the Holley model number on the carburetor, it is time to now cross-check this model number with an existing Holley listing.

I bought the intake/ carbs 4 or 5 years after the car and didn't pay any attention to the carb codes. It was the early '80's and I was a newbie. I guess I got lucky they were dated just right.

The difference is in the front metering block. I have a '67 4-speed carb on my 390 GTA. It works fine, but I want the correct automatic version as listed in my signature (late '66 or early 1967 Holley LIST 3794 C7OF-9510-B for S code 390 GTA or just the metering block 5230). I used holley part number 20-124 installation kit to install my 4160 465 cfm carb on an Edelbrock f4b. Clearance is tight with an LAT fiberglass hood. I used modeling clay to determine the clearance. Some adjustment of the air cleaner gave about a 1/4" of clearance to the rear hood ducts.
