stevesearles Discussion starter · May 4, 2009. Raptor 660 is missing, sputtering, popping and even maybe a backfire or two whenever I get the rpm's up past half throttle when riding. It runs fine at low rpms and on the bench but when you pour the coals to it, the engine misses from half to full throttle. Cleaned carbs well, new plug, etc.I dig into my 2002 Yamaha Raptor 660 and find a bunch of problems with it.
