If you can short the Red and Black/Blue wires coming from the cell together and the flow light does not turn green, a new flow switch will not help.. #1 I am a new Pentair pool owner as well and learning on the fly. My latest cold weather concern has to do with the temp sensor in the Intellechlor unit and the temp sensor mounted coming out of the pump. The inline temp sensor seems to work fine but the SWG sensor seems to be stuck on 44, hence no chloring production.My Intellichlor does not appear to be making chlorine. Pentair SWGs have a specific orientation relative to flow. Also, just keep increasing your RPMs until the flow light turns green. It all depends on your plumbing and head loss.
