We stayed at The Fuengirola Beach in December, it was a great hotel. The rooms and balcony spacious, lots and lots of loungers and a large pool. It is approx 20 mins walk along the front to the centre but lots of bars on the way and small places to eat.

You will get Sun on the forward bit quite early, and the rest by noon iirc.This mist occurs in Torrox and Nerja quite frequently, sometimes it disappears in an hour or so, sometimes it hangs about most of the day. I'm no weather expert but it has something to do with - warm air, cold sea or something like that. OK I am going to suggest exploring the Los Boliches area of Fuengirola. Assuming you will be on the M120 I suggest getting of at the stop Rotonda del 600 2426, this is just past the roundabout with a 'grass' covered Fiat 600 in the middle of it. We bought the travel card for the green area ( Malaga to Fuengirola) for EUR 1.50 and loaded it with Eur 5. Very convenient to use on the buses as they don't accept bank card. Each journey was 40/45 cts instead of Eur 1.70 for cash payments. Difficult to locate where the travel card can be purchased.
