The filter works very well and in either instance couldn't detect odors at all. Within 2 weeks I started getting false full errors, and then today it has failed due to the pinch detect fault. They over engineered this thing to have sensitive parts exposed to corrosion. Disassemble. 1. Turn the base over so it is upside down. 2. Remove the 9 screws connecting the bottom of the base to the top of the base. 1 screw at the back of the unit behind the black cat sensor foot. 3. Gently lift to separate the two halves of the base.
